Akeem Clayton
Northern New Jersey Head Coach

Akeem Clayton holds a BS in Marketing from Rutgers University and has over 15 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. He is currently a beloved full time gym teacher and head sports coach at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades as well as the coach for multiple basketball teams in the Northern NJ area. Coach Akeem has a true devotion for children, sports, and exercise and is particularly adept in confidence building, motivating, and cooperative learning.

“As a coach I do not measure success solely on wins and losses. I measure it on lessons we learn, on the relationships we build, and the accomplishment of individual and team goals regardless of final outcome. If you learn, have fun, and achieved or make a genuine attempt toward achieving your goal, then that is a true indication of success.”

Curtis Moses
New York City Head Coach

Curtis Moses is a multi sport coach and tutor from New York City. He first began mentoring youth while studying Sociology and Psychology at St. John's University and now has over 6 years of experience working with children of all ages. "Coach Moses," as the children call him, currently works as a writer and content creator and loves to follow all sports. Curtis is especially talented at helping children develop social skills and improve concentration and focus.

"Being a coach is so rewarding for me because I get to help a young player reach and exceed their potential. I remember how difficult things can be for a young student, and how appreciative I was for help along the way. I'm happy to be that helping hand for the next generation of kids."

Andres Chaves
New York City

Andres is Colombian born actor and educator currently based in New York City. He holds a BFA from the University of Minnesota's prestigious Guthrie Program and is currently a language instructor at The New Language Workshop in New York's Upper East Side.

Coach A has extensive experience working with children in all walks of life having taught all throughout Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and New York. He is well versed in a number of methods of education having worked in both professional and not for profit institutions geared towards empowering and educating the youth of tomorrow.

Coach A also has had extensive experience in various types of movement and physical fitness, training and teaching in various fields of study including: yoga, general fitness, Alexander Technique, boxing, snowboarding, stage combat, basketball, and soccer to name a few.

It is extremely important for Coach A to build a strong relationship with his students and believes that the road to happier, healthier life begins with self confidence and determination.

For him knowing that he can be a small part of each of his student's journey to success makes his work all the more exciting.

Dr. Marla Baum, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a doctorate degree in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Yeshiva University-Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. Dr. Baum has extensive experience conducting neuropsychological assessments, as well as therapy with children and adolescents along with their families in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private settings. Dr. Baum spent three years as an adjunct clinical professor at Ferkauf, teaching assessment to graduate students and supervising their testing cases in the school’s community clinic. She currently works in private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and her specialties are neuropsychological assessments of children, adolescents, and young adults ages 3-21, executive function deficits and their remediation, and cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents with attention deficits and anxiety disorders.

Children are great imitators, so give them something great to imitate.


Allison Mell holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hunter College. She has extensive experience working with the pediatric population through Early Intervention, sensory gyms, school, and home environments. She has worked closely with infants through middle-schoolers, specializing in treating children with low muscle tone, torticollis, stroke, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and general gross motor delays. Allison is passionate about childhood development and believes that movement is a key component to a child’s health, attention span, and self-esteem. She is confident that when given the right tools, children can break through limitless boundaries. “There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs” is a quote she embraces both literally and figuratively. Allison is a co-founder of Tots on Target, a company with a mission to foster the natural developmental process in the areas of physical movement, sensory integration, and fine motor skills to build the foundation for a child’s success.

Maryann Deutsch holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University. She also holds a post-professional certificate in Pediatrics and certification in Sensory Integration, including administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration Praxis Tests (SIPT). Maryann has worked with the pediatric population in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, sensory clinics, and home environments. She specializes in treating children with Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, general motor delays, and coordination disorders. Maryann is passionate about providing children with sensory-rich environments and experiences to facilitate motor and sensory development. She believes in viewing the child holistically, and collaborating with parents and teachers to maximize the child’s potential. Maryann is the co-founder of Tots on Target along with her business partner and friend, Allison Mell. "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward."

Michael Dube, co-founder and President of Elite Method, has an incredible passion for working with kids and teaching them the skills needed to be successful in life. He stresses character building as much as strength and skill building. Michael is also co-founder of DubeZone, where he served as the inspiration and master trainer to a large coaching staff. Michael is considered an expert coach for his unique ability to connect with and transform every child with whom he works. His energy and enthusiasm is infectious, and he spreads his positive message through volunteerism, motivational speaking, and the charity he co-founded, Sharing Seats, which has given away thousands of event and sporting tickets to children in need. "Coach Mike," as he is affectionately called, is an inspiration to many and is very much looking forward to continuing his passion in helping kids through the development of Elite Method.

Rachel Dube, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Elite Method, has more than seven years of experience working in the child-development market through her first business, Dubezone, which provides sports coaching and programming for kids. Her experience of intimately working with thousands of children and families has been the inspiration to create Elite Method. Rachel saw the need for more intensive and customized programming that focused on the "whole" child, including physical, social, and emotional needs. Rachel brings her many years of career experience in business development, marketing, and programming to the development of Elite Method. She is also very involved in her community having served as the Jewish Community Liaison to Englewood Hospital for more than five years. She is the mother to two wonderful children ages 11 and 14 and is the wife of co-founder Michael Dube.

Rebecca Jesin, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Elite Method, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. As a mother of three young children, she feels passionately about giving children every opportunity to succeed. Rebecca has more than 6 years experience working with children and developing child programming. She is currently the Business Manager of Dubezone, a program that provides sports coaching and after-school activities for kids. Rebecca brings her years of experience in business development, her creative mind, and organizational skills to the Elite Method team. Rebecca is an active part of her local community and sits on the board of her local synagogue sisterhood. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising and spending time with her family and friends.
